Thor had learned the tradition from Midgard, claiming it that it was the day that Midgardians all confessed their love for another and exchanged many different sorts of sweets and gifts. What was this holiday called? Valentine’s Day. It seemed odd to Loki, he had no sort of love for many Asgardians, and he had a strong dislike for about ninety nine percent of them.
However, that small one percent consisted mostly of one woman, that one woman that he had found so many things to love about her.
He smirked, walking down the hallways quietly, a plan in mind as he walked down the halls that lead to your chambers.
Loki pushed the door to your rooms open, taking you by surprise, watching you jump slightly as he appeared in your line of sight, hand fluttering delicately over her heart, eyes as wide as an owl’s. Loki chuckled, opening his arms as he walked to you, feeling twice as good now that he was in your presence.
You gratefully embraced him, pressing your face close to his chest, running your hands slowly up his back, “Mmm Loki, you scared me.”
“I’m sorry, love. Can you ever forgive me?” He joked lightly.
You giggled, pulling away from him and feigning outrage, crossing your arms over your chest as you turned, “I don’t think I can… You’ll have to work pretty hard to earn my forgiveness.”
Loki stepped up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist, his lips ghosting against the shell of your ear, “Then let me start earning your forgiveness right away, (name).”
You made a pleased sound in the back of your throat, turning in his arms to let your arms drape over his shoulders, you pressed your lips to his gently, rolling your eyes playfully, “Happy Valentine’s day.”
Loki chuckled, nuzzling his forehead to yours, “Speaking of which, I have a surprise for you.”
Your eyes lit up at the word, but your eyebrows perked in question, “Please tell me it isn’t another spider in my flowers again.”
Loki laughed, shaking his head, “No, no, not that. And besides, I wouldn’t do it again, I’ve already done it.”
You giggled, letting your hands slide down to his, tangling your fingers between his. You smiled warmly at him as he tugged you along, leading you outside of your rooms, and out to where you loved. The gardens.
Of course, this was Queen Figga’s garden, off limits to all except those directly related to the queen herself. You gasped at the sight of it, covering your lips with a hand, keeping a firm hold on Loki’s hand with your opposite one.
It was absolutely beautiful, there were many different kinds of flowers, all grouped together so that even the most contrasting colors went together perfectly. There were pathways cut out and lined with shining marble stepping stones, each engraved with Celtic looking knots lined with shimmering white gold. Each rounded stone was lined with shimmering jewel colored pebbles, catching the ethereal light that filtered down from the dome that covered the whole garden, several panels open so that the pastel colored birds could fly in and out as they pleased.
“This is… beautiful, Loki…” You were speechless, and your tongue or brain couldn’t find the words to express exactly how gorgeous it absolutely was.
“I’m glad you think so, love… However these gardens cannot possibly dare compete with your stunning beauty.” He caressed your cheek, his emerald eyes scanning your own (eye color) ones.
You blushed softly, smiling slowly under his gaze. You looked down at his feet for a few moments until he took two fingers and put them softly under your chin, forcing you to look at him.
“Why do you always look down when I compliment you so, my dear? I’m not lying.”
“It’s just… Not many compliment me like that…”
He smirked, making a small noise in the back of his throat, “My dear, you should get used to it. I intend to compliment those who are truly deserving of such kind words, and you my dear are more than worthy.”

"Sleep well?"
"Mmhmm." She mumbled kissing his cheek. (y/n) sat down at the kitchen table and Loki placed a cup of tea in front of her. Papers, calendars, pens, and pencils cluttered t

Takes place in ancient Rome but to make it easy to understand the talking will be modern-ish.
There was a large smile on your face as you walked through the town square with your family. Your father had commented on your cheery mood earlier, but you hadn’t dared to tell him the real reason for your happiness. You were in love and although it was the most wonderful feeling in the world it scared you. It wasn’t the emotion itself that scared you but the consequences of it. Marriage was banned for all men of fighting age and your parents were already talking about who they should marry you off too.

You can tell I have a rather addictive personality. Hehe.
